My body finally caught up with my plans this week. I’m so excited with progress, and even a finish to show off. But I’m most excited about being able to go to the Sisters, OR Quilt Show this weekend. Can’t wait to see some beautiful quilts and go shopping!
Finished: Baby girl quilt!
I love how the quilting looks on the back:
Also from this week is my next block for the Beginner’s Quilt-Along:
You can read more about the quilt-along and see my other blocks here.
For my baby boy quilt, I’m proud to report that I found a way to cut out the letters and get them all the same size. Once I figured that out, I decided the block idea I had wasn’t going to work, and picked another block pattern. But then I realized I didn’t have enough complimentary fabrics for the new pattern! Off to the quilt shop again…!
My mom’s quilt is still moving along. Three more rows completed this week, plus I was amazed to find five yards of matching background fabric. This fabric was originally purchased about three years ago, and I was so surprised to come across these five yards at a small fabric shop. That find gave me new energy to get this one done and off the design wall.
And lots of small projects in the works:
Picture Perfect Polaroid Block Swap: Checking out my stash to see what I have and how much I need to buy
Hotpads: Cut out, in line for the machine
Curtains: Fabric purchased
Scout Quilt: Making plans
Charms Pinwheels: Cutting
iPad case: Looking for a pattern I life (suggestions?)
Coin purse: Making a pattern
Have you been to the Sisters Quilt show? What is your favorite part?
