Catching up from 2012

2012 was a year interrupted for me.  Perplexing health issues early in the year were eventually diagnosed as Fibromyalgia in August.

My quilting took a hit mid-year as I tried to fight my way back to some sense of normalcy.  Thankfully, a medication routine started in October began helping by November, and I was able to pick up my quilting again.

Undoubtedly, after feeling like I had lost much of my regular life, being able to accomplish some quilting each day was uplifting and reassuring that all was not lost.

Learning to navigate life with Fibromyalgia, like with any chronic illness, is all about adapting to a new normal.  If you are on this journey as well, I would love to hear from you.

Now, here are my accomplishments from the end of 2012.

I really like the cases that you made. I love the little square tab on the end of the zipper. DB

Amazing how much you accomplished with all that you were going through!

Thanks, Lisa! I was amazed, too, when I mapped it all out. Most of it was finished at the end of the year, when things had stabilized a little. Quilting and sewing was really what brought me back to some sense of normalcy by being able to reclaim a part of me that I thought I had lost.

What do you think?
